I See You Like This
Kids see the world differently. They also see their grown-ups differently, and things are about to get wonderfully weird.
Created through renowned Australian participatory artist Jessica Wilson’s internationally acclaimed project, I See You Like This invites children to transform a parent or significant adult into a playful work of art.
Presented throughout Townsville Shopping Centre, this vibrant free exhibition celebrates imagination, family and the brilliantly unfiltered creative voice of children.
Funny, surprising and deeply heartfelt, each portrait captures a moment of trust, connection and just a little creative rebellion. Wander through the collection and see what happens when children become the artists, grown-ups become the canvas and everyday family connections become unforgettable works of art.
How does your child see you?
Parent and child pairs can also take part in a free I See You Like This workshop with Jessica Wilson at the NAFA Festival Hub at Strand Park.
Children become the art directors, using a colourful collection of materials and objects to transform their grown-up into a wonderfully weird, one-of-a-kind portrait. Places are limited, so bookings are essential.
